Wagamama Taps Rahel Stephanie for Asian-Inspired Noodle Lab Collaboration
Setting a modern twist to Indonesia’s “ayam geprek” dish.
Asian-inspired chain restaurant Wagamama is heading into the summer with collaboration at the forefront. Following its scrumptious partnership with Willy’s Pies, Wagamama has tapped London-based foodie and Supper Club star Rahel Stephanie for an exclusive dish hosted by Wagamama’s innovative Noodle Lab.
The Indonesian-inspired dish honors Stephanie’s Asian roots with bold and authentic flavors, redefining the country’s signature “ayam geprek” meal with a modern twist. The new sambal fried chicken dish is centered around garlic-infused protein coated in vibrant spices and served alongside tomato-based condiments, refreshing pickled slaw, and aromatic coconut rice.
Wagamama’s signature amai sauce completes the dish paired with a hard-boiled turmeric egg. Speaking about the exciting partnership, Stephanie says: “Bringing my supper club to Noodle Lab’s collab club has been a dream come true! I wanted to create something that captures the essence of Indonesian cuisine while adding my personal touch. I can’t wait for everyone to taste the new dish and experience the flavors of my heritage, which mean so much to me.”
