Patta x Stussy Drop ‘Respect Tee’ to Supporting Community Efforts in Suriname
The T-shirt honors Humprey Rietfeld Schmidt, the late father of Patta’s co-founder.
Patta and Stussy have collaborated on the “Respect Tee,” a special edition T-shirt honoring Humprey Rietfeld Schmidt, the late father of Patta’s co-founder Guillaume Schmidt.
Available in white and black colorways, the shirt features a black-and-white portrait of Guillaume, surrounded by some of the sayings he espoused, from “be balanced” to “give respect to get respect!” The campaign was photographed by Yamandu Roos.
With the release, the two brands wanted to celebrate past generations while uplifting present and future generations. All proceeds from the tee will benefit Project Bigi Pondo, a charity that focuses on uplifting communities and progressing sustainable development in Suriname. More specifically, the brands are working to transform a deserted boat into an art piece with school children in Afobaka and supporting the Saamaka Marron Museum.
The Patta x Stussy Respect Tee will be available beginning July 3 on Patta’s online store and in the brand’s retail locations in Amsterdam, London, Milan and Lagos.
