First Look at the Metalwood Studio x adidas Gazelle
Spotted at Paris Fashion Week.
In just four years, Cole Young has disrupted the golf scene with his rebellious label Metalwood Studio. Bringing a new energy to the greens, the brand has been embraced by golfers around the world, leading to projects with everyone from Del Toro to FootJoy. Now, the brand’s next chapter is with adidas. Participating in the Paris Fashion Week festivities, Metalwood Studio showcased a collaborative take on the adidas Gazelle today, capping it off with an event at Arrow and Beast Skateshop with adidas Skateboarding.
A brief preview of the pair highlights the shoe’s brown camouflage base and matching sockliner as its signature design element. A rough suede has been applied to the forefoot’s overlays while the Three Stripes and blank heel tab sport a black leather finish. Golden “METALWOOD” text is displayed just above the stripes at the lateral, matching the golden tongue branding. Rounding out the pair is a semi-translucent dark gum sole.
At the time of writing, neither Metalwood Studio nor adidas have confirmed whether or not their collaborative take on the Samba will be landing on shelves. Stay tuned for updates as we currently expect the sneaker to release at some point in the next year via Metalwood Studio, adidas and select retailers.
