G-SHOCK Takes Off Into Outer Space With NASA-Themed Watch
Also celebrating Casio’s 50th anniversary.
Instead of staying on the ground for its latest collaboration, this time renowned watchmaker G-SHOCK is taking off into outer space by uniting with NASA on a new watch.
With its NASA theme, the GW9600NASA24-1 timepiece appears in a deep space black and is accented by hues of deep blue, purple, red, yellow and white hues that appear on the digital watch face. Additionally, the watch draws inspiration from Casio’s calculators. The new piece continues the partnership between Casio’s G-SHOCK and NASA and this timepiece marks the fifth iteration.
Aside from the NASA partnership, the new watch also continues the celebration of Casio’s 50th anniversary. Like many G-SHOCK watches, this edition includes the watchmaker’s signature shock-resistant capability, 200M water resistance, solar-powered tech, world time with 38 zones, a full auto EL backlight, a timer, a stopwatch and four alarms.
Take a closer look at the watch in the gallery above. Retailing for $170 USD, the G-SHOCK x NASA GW9600NASA24-1 timepiece is available now for contest sign-ups online.
